Team repair and tune-up using the Bayeux Tapestry
Participants: The divisional management and staff of a major
charity organization.
Purpose:
When new management were appointed to the division they recognized that
the staff had endured an abnormal number of ineffective managers over
a period of several years. Consequently the staff were demoralized, had
no sense of what they should be doing and had no vision of the future.
This is an excellent example of where we used our workshop
The Bayeux Tapestry
. Over two days we took the staff on a journey from the past, through the
present and into the future. During the 'past' phase we identified the
'facts' and uncovered both positive and negative feelings. These we
handled in a fun and non-threatening way. We said goodbye to the past.
During the 'present' phase we streamlined their operation and eliminated
many redundant activities. The team were now in a very positive mood as
we looked to the 'future' and mapped out a plan of action which the whole
team supported. For more information about the process
