Process Improvement Tools and Techniques

Building efficient and effective processes

Organizations are driven by their business processes. The activities within a business process are the building blocks of the enterprise where value is created and where the majority of resources are consumed. They are the point of connection with customers, vendors and business partners.

Efficient and effective processes contribute to an agile, productive and profitable enterprise. Unfortunately, business processes in many organizations consist of a complex network of inefficient and redundant activities and outdated business rules and practices that hinder their performance.

The aim of this workshop is to provide you with a practical and effective set of skills, techniques and tools for identifying, mapping, measuring, analysing and improving business processes within your organization.

This workshop is a shorter, reduced scope, version of our "Business Process Modelling and Improvement Techniques" course. It focuses on the tools and techniques required for mapping and analysing current processes and designing new processes.

Course Aims:

Delegates will...

  • understand the four key techniques for modelling a process, the main barriers to peak process performance, tools for analysing a process, the principles of "future state" design and a portfolio of generic improvement models. Delegates will have the opportunity to practice all the techniques through a case study.
