What's New?

A few of the activities (and thoughts) that have occupied our time when not working with clients:

July 2009: We have added another organization to our recommended links page. We hope you will take the time to visit these organizations.

July 2009: We have added two new pages to our website:

Giving Back To The Community and
What People Say About Us.

We hope that you will take the time to read them.

May 2009: We are now on Twitter. Find out first about new programs, new games and simulations, interesting articles and even the ocassional 'special'. Our account on Twitter is: Mentoric.

April 2009: Beat the 'economy blues' as we launch a Team Building workshop for organizations in the Greater Toronto Area at a special price.

This is an opportunity for you to experience our top selling team building program on selected days at a special discounted price.

Read the details at Team Building Special.

April 2009: Have you seen the free library we have added to the site for the managers, trainers, HR professionals and consultants? You will find it under 'tools, tips and lists'.

In the library you will find information on a range of topics ranging from the characteristics of a good project plan to a list of ideas for low/no cost team recognition. If you have topic that you wish to see covered then please contact us and we will try to post a page on the topic.

Please visit us regularly to see the additions we will be making.

April 2009: Please take a look at our new web page 'People We Work With' . It lists just a few of the great people with whom we have had the pleasure of working.

March 2009: You can now purchase our management and team games and simulations using PayPal. With PayPal you can pay with a credit or debit card, bank account or your PayPal balance.

All our games, simulations and activities are sold through our partner organization CanAmGam.

February 2009: Many organizations now recognize that they have to get more value out of their team building. Not so long ago it was OK to take a group of your employees away for a day or two simply for the purpose of having a good time and calling it 'team building'. Not anymore!

A team building event must now make a real, positive, difference to the bottom line of an organization.

At Mentoric we ensure that our team building events are relevant to the goals and objectives of your organization and that the lessons learned can be taken back and implemented in the workplace - the NEXT DAY.

It's time to get serious with your team building.

At Mentoric we are passionate about "Serious PLAY. Serious LEARNING. Serious RESULTS."

November 2008: We are very excited to announce our new outdoor team building adventure Spy City: Toronto which follows the success of Spy City: Prague launched earlier this year.

It is the second adventure in the series which we call "Team Adventures For The Mind"®.

This adventure is a race against time but running won't help you. It is the team with quick minds that will be victorious. Has your team got brains sharp enough to take up the challenge?

These adventures are for organizations where team building must make a positive difference to their people and their working environment - while still having fun.

We can also design a Spy City: adventure for your town or city.

September 2008: In mid-September we launched a new program called Live the Brand. Love the Brand with Philter Communications, our partner for this exciting program.

Each year companies invest in their brand image through advertising, direct mail and public relations, but many pay little attention to investing in their brand within the organization. This program can help you get the most out of you marketing budget.

August 2008: We launched our new blog called Management Coach . It is a blog for the discussion of management and leadership topics. There will be discussions about the characteristics of a manager, project management issues, change management, the difference between managers and leaders, creativity with purpose, presentation skills, coaching skills, training, the use of games and simulations, teambuilding, process improvement, etc. We hope that you enjoy the discussions and leave your comments.

The Management Coach blog has now been moved into the main Mentoric website. You will find it under 'tools, tips and lists'.

June 2008: Our new outdoor team building simulation Spy City: Prague , was launched at a three-day international conference in the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. It is the first of a series of team building simulations which we call "Team Adventures For The Mind"®. These adventures are for organizations where team building must make a positive difference to their people and their working environment while still having fun.

We can also design Spy City: for your town or city.

Details of the Spy City: adventures will soon be available on this website.

September 2007: Interpret II , the new advanced team communication game, is now available for purchase from 'the store' . It is similar to the original game Interpret but provides a much greater level of challenge. Please see the description for details.

August 2007: We have simplified the website by creating a new section called Management Simulations . This is where you will now find the following workshops: Chanj , the organizational change simulation, Leadout , the leadership/teamworking simulation and The Martha's Vineyard SkyLink Project , the project management simulation.

July 2007: We launch our new product - "The Martha's Vineyard SkyLink Project" simulation. This simulation is perfect for launching a new project and getting it off to a great start or introducing a 'project culture' to your organization.

The simulation was developed about six years ago and has been experienced by many of our clients. It has been updated and is now available through the Mentoric Store.

May 2007: The Mentoric Store is now open. The games, simulations and activities that we use in many of our training and development workshops are now available for you to buy and run yourself. Theses are excellent resources for trainers, managers, consultants and HR professionals. Please visit often to see what we have added.

May 2007: You may have noticed some small changes in the way you navigate the Mentoric website. We hope you find the changes useful. Additional enhancements will take affect over the Summer.

We have also moved our website and email accounts to new servers. We hope that this will provide you with a faster and more stable experience when you visit our site.

April 2007: Mentoric became an official sponsor of the 2007 Creativity and Innovation Week.

Creativity and Innovation Week is a celebration of the unlimited creative potential in all of us. Its goal is to raise awareness of the opportunity to unleash creativity from within - within ourselves, our families, our communities, our workplaces, our city, our country and our world.
